This Kensington garden had become overgrown and taken over by invasive ivy. We wanted to bring functionality back into the garden by giving the raised beds a reset, removing all of the ivy, planting hardy drought-tolerant plants, and seeding a new lawn on the upper terrace. We also removed some concrete to create what will eventually become a citrus 'wall' that screens the deck area, and allowed us to rearrange the furniture to create a gathering space with more privacy. The final touch was installing a new drip irrigation system for all planting areas, the pots, as well as the raised beds so the client could spend more time enjoying and harvesting in the garden and less time worrying about watering.
