As we grow rapidly, we're building a team of aligned individuals who not only work hard but work with heart. We are currently seeking a dedicated Garden Maintenance & Installation Manager who can help lead the way.
The Role: Garden Maintenance & Installation Manager (Hybrid Role)
This role blends hands-on landscape installation with leadership in our small (but growing) garden maintenance program. You’ll be supporting the installation crew leader on landscape build projects while managing the care and health of gardens, edible landscapes, ando orchards for our ongoing clients. You’ll also use your strong communication and organizational skills to coordinate client, communications, scheduling, and seasonal planning for maintenance visits. This position offers an exciting growth path towards full-time hours and leadership within the company. This is a hands-on leadership role ideal for someone who brings horticultural expertise, practical installation skills, and a deep love for regenerative land care.
Key Responsibilities:
- Maintenance Program Leadership: oversee routine and seasonal maintenance for existing clients, creating plans that reflect ecological principles and site specific needs.
- Client communication and scheduling: Use dedicated weekly hours to communicate with clients, plan visits, and coordinate logistics using digital tools.
- Installation support: Assist the installation, crew leader, with Hardscape and soft scape installation tasks, contributing your horticultural expertise.
- Pruning expertise: Lead seasonal and the structural pruning for ornamental and fruit trees, as well as general plant maintenance.
- Team collaboration: Help train and mentor field staff, ensuring professional, professionalism, efficiency, and adherence to high-quality standards.
- Professional accountability: Work with integrity, showing up reliably, managing time well, and upholding our values in a fast-paced environment.
Who You Are:
- Experienced in regenerative horticulture & ecological land care, with strong plant ID skills (especially edibles and California natives).
- Experienced in pruning (Ornamental, fruit tree, structural).
- Technologically capable — Comfortable with basic digital tools for scheduling and communication.
- Physically able to lift 60 lbs and work in varying outdoor conditions.
- Safety-conscious.
- Responsible, reliable, self-directed, solution-oriented, and ready to grow with a mission-led company.
- Bonus: experience with irrigation installation, maintenance, and repair, as well as light hardscaping.
Position Details:
- Employment Type: W-2 employee or contractor
- Hours: 15-20 hours/week guaranteed; full-time hours available for the next three weeks. Starting part-time with immediate growth potential
- Compensation: $30–$35/hour DOE
- Schedule: Fridays required; flexible on other days with some scheduling autonomy

Installation Crew Member/Landscape Technician
Installation Crew Member/Landscape Technician
Sustain With Me Landscapes | East Bay Area, CA
Compensation: $25/hr starting | Part-Time (with growth to Full-Time)
The Role: Install Crew Member/Landscape Technician
We are seeking a skilled landscape technician/crew member to join our dynamic team. This role requires proficiency in various aspects of landscape construction and maintenance, including installation of retaining walls, grading trenching, and irrigation systems. The ideal candidate will possess extensive knowledge of the care and maintenance of Landscape plants that are suitable for the East Bay region’s zoning.
Responsibilities:
- Install and maintain retaining walls, irrigation systems, and other landscape features.
- Perform grading and trenching operations as required for landscape design and water management.
- Care for a variety of landscape plants, ensuring their health and vitality in accordance with local climate conditions.
- Work collaboratively with team members to implement land designs that meet or exceed client expectations.
Requirements:
- Proven experience with landscape, installation and maintenance, particularly with retaining walls, grading, trenching, and irrigation.
- Familiarity with the types of plants appropriate for the east Bay region region, and knowledge of their maintenance requirements.
- Punctuality and reliability, with dependable transportation to the designated meeting spot each day.
- Attentiveness to detail and ability to follow directions accurately.
- A positive attitude and a strong willingness to learn and grow within the field of sustainable landscaping.
- Ability to work outside all day, lift 50 pounds and stand, bending and stooping often.
Working Hours:
- The position will initially offer approximately 20 hours per week, with operational hours, typically between 8 AM to 4 PM, including lunch breaks. Water will be provided, however, food is not included.
- There is potential for the role to expand to 40 hours per week, contingent upon client commitment and business growth.

The Role: Administrative & Sales Assistant
Support client, communication, sales, scheduling, etc. Help streamline operations, so our CEO, Amelia, can focus on leadership and design. Remote, flexible and values aligned.
Key Responsibilities:
- Respond to client emails, calls and leads
- Prepare proposals/estimates in FreshBooks
- Send contracts via DocuSign, manage CRM updates
- Maintain calendars, track project progress, flag bottlenecks
- Coordinate material, sourcing, vendor communications, & delivery timelines
- Keep systems organized in Google Drive, Slack
- Draft weekly status summaries for the CEO
- Log expenses and receipts in FreshBooks
- Track hours and admin tasks in Gusto
- Assist with light marketing tasks (leads, newsletter, pipeline dashboard)
Who You Are:
- Clear communicator, highly organized, self-directed
- Comfortable with Google suite, CRM tools, and learning new tech
